2023 Fiscal Impact Report

Investments in our work help us leverage more public and private resources to advance equitable outcomes. Check out how we’re utilizing local and national funding to drive change in Milwaukee. In 2023, our efforts resulted in:

$171 million in new public funding to support child care in Wisconsin.

$300,000 in new national funding from the Wallace and WK Kellogg Foundations.

90% of outgoing funds directed to Black and Brown-led vendors and nonprofits.

In terms of our 2023 revenue for backbone operations, $833,055 came from local philanthropy, $461,250 came from national philanthropy and $30,000 came from other sources.

Our funders align their investments to transform how philanthropy builds better systems for our youth. Thank you to these incredible organizations for helping us advance education equity in MKE!
