ECE Ambassadors Launch Creative Curriculum Training Series

On May 23, Milwaukee Succeeds launched the first session of our new Creative Curriculum Mini Training Series, a four-part professional development opportunity designed and facilitated entirely by our Wisconsin Registry Certified Early Childhood Education (ECE) Ambassadors.

The training series equips local ECE providers and site leaders with hands-on support around Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG), a research-based observational assessment and curriculum tool widely used across Early Head Start and ECE programs to support kindergarten readiness and whole-child development.

Through four in-person sessions, ECE Ambassadors are providing practical, real-world training on how to navigate digital curriculum programming, utilize online tools and resources, develop lesson plans, write anecdotal notes, input and track child data, and leverage TSG's professional resources and consulting supports. Participating providers can then bring this knowledge back to their staff, expanding the impact across multiple classrooms and centers.

Developed in direct response to the growing demands placed on ECE professionals, the Creative Curriculum Mini Training Series serves as a one-stop support model for providers seeking meaningful, applicable professional development.

"By blending technical expertise with lived experience leadership, our ECE Ambassadors are strengthening the capacity of local centers while advancing high-quality learning environments for children and families," said Anna Smerchek, Milwaukee Succeeds’ community engagement manager.

This initiative continues to showcase the leadership, innovation and community impact of Milwaukee Succeeds' ECE Ambassadors – trusted voices who are not only advocating for the ECE sector, but actively building solutions that empower it.
