National Spotlight on Wisconsin’s Early Childhood Win
Wisconsin’s early childhood win is making national waves. StriveTogether, a national network partner working to improve outcomes from cradle to career, recently published a blog post highlighting the work of Milwaukee Succeeds and our partners as proof that community-led advocacy can drive real, lasting change for kids and families.
The post outlines how years of coordinated advocacy, grassroots organizing and coalition-building led to nearly $380 million in new state funding for early childhood education, evidence-based literacy instruction and expanded access for infants and toddlers. It also highlights the deep community engagement and data storytelling that helped bring early childhood to the forefront of the state budget.
The recognition reflects the strength of local partnerships like ours and the power of collective action. Milwaukee Succeeds is proud to be part of this work and will continue advocating for lasting change that supports children, families and early educators across our city and beyond.
